Carbon dioxide is a natural component of the atmosphere (approximately 0.04%) and naturally exists in the gas phase. When liquefied using suitable processes, the solid phase (dry ice) can be easily produced from the liquid phase. We can create different geometric shapes by compressing the resulting dry ice particles.
The application technology makes use of different shapes depending on the task requirements. For example, dry ice pellets with a diameter of approximately 3mm are suitable as a cleaning medium for dry ice blasting.
In contrast, dry ice nuggets or discs are primarily used for cooling purposes.
